Post Referendum Prayer - Tuesday 5th July

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

1 Timothy 2:1-4 NIVUK

Given the momentous events of the last few days I wanted to create space for us as a community to come together to pray for our nation. I've therefore booked out the K2 Hall on our Bracknell site from 8pm on Tuesday 5th July for all of us who are part of Kerith (and anyone else who would like to join us) to pray. I realise that lots of people will be involved in the run up to our REAL women's conference. Please don't worry if you can't make it because of REAL, I'm sure there will be plenty of us who can make it and plenty of other opportunities to pray for our nation in the coming months.

This will replace what would have been our Bracknell site prayer meeting this coming Sunday evening, although Sandhurst (in Sandhurst school) and Windsor / Maidenhead (at Windsor Hall, Ruddles Way, Dedworth, Windsor SL4 5SJ) will still be meeting at 6pm. Great things have been happening in those meetings so please get to one of them too if you can.

This coming Sunday I want to add to what I said last week about our response to the referendum result, speaking in particular to the rise of xenophobia since the result came out. See you there :)

Simon.
