Haiti Blog

Jacqui Webber-Gant has now set up a blog where she is posting updates from Lindsey Reece-Smith in Haiti. Rather than duplicating the information on my blog why not sign up for email updates from Lindsey's blog.

A huge thank you to Jacqui who does hours of work behind the scenes making all of this sort of thing as well as the church website as great as it is. Please take the chance to thank Jacqui for all she does next time you see her.

I'm going to be writing a blog soon on us embracing technology as a church community. Blogs like this are a great example of how web technology can be used to give us all up to date information on events taking place thousands of miles away.

Hi Simon. Thanks for your kind words. I must say there are a big team of people diligently working away behind the scenes keeping the Kerith site current. Geoff Hawke is the most reliable, faithful man I know for getting a task done-he uploads all the sermons, and writes a super intro week in week out and even gets people to cover for him when in far flung places like Australia. Sandra Austin has produced much of the current website-I just encouraged her and gave the odd lesson in web design. Mike Charlton is the brains behind many of the logos and graphics, and the office staff are maintaining the calender and rotas that are all part of the database system behind this website.

If you are creative, organised and have a desire to join those of us who are seeking to extend the life and community of Kerith through the website then please find out about joining the team. We need graphic designers, film makers, photographers, people to interview others and find out about activities and writers. Ben Oliver leads this venture so talk to him or me.
